Over the recent years after UNESCO announced Penang as a world heritage site to visit along with Malacca, the number of cafes have gradually increased around Occupy Beach Street popular amongst tourists and locals. However, the cafes opened there are the same with one another as they serve western food or desserts. For those who want to have a change of view, why don’t go to Olivia’s Pasta & Pizza?
Olivia’s Pasta & Pizza serves western food in a cozy and family-oriented style interior decoration with bright ambience. The cafe serves western food like pastas, pizzas, and burgers along with their home-made cheesecakes available in variety of flavours such as oreo and tiramisu. For those who want to just have a cup coffee, the cafe serves coffee as well. I recommend going to this café as the food is delicious served with fast and good service.
To start things off, when a customer steps into the café they are welcomed by the friendly waiters ready to serve the customer in the bright yet kind-to—the-eyes painted walls. The serving time is quick as it takes around 15 to 20 minutes for the food to arrive. While waiting for your main course, you can opt for a bowl of mushroom soup, some appetisers, or salads to keep yourself lightly-filled. As for the main course, I recommend ordering the chicken parmagiana which is a chicken fillet coated with parmesan cheese topped with Napolitan sauce and melted mozzarella cheese. The chicken fillet is fried to perfection as it is crispy on-the-outside while moist and tender on-the-inside. Moreover, you also have a choice of side dish like French fries, mashed potatoes, spaghetti, butter rice along with the main course to make it into a complete meal.

Overall, Olivia’s Paste & Pizza is a great café to visit with friends and families with great food at reasonable price and friendly waiter with good service. The downside is there are limited carpark around the café as it is sometimes hard to find carpark due to the café is located in a residential area. So, it is a good idea to try something new although the café is not mainstream compared to another café?
